The author researches conditions of modern speech activity where a change of basic values takes place. The mass media intentionally actualize new values by installing the idea of optionality of any social norms of behavior, including speech norms, into native speakers’ minds. Defective cognitive structures that appear in speech facilitate establishment of new values in the native speakers’ minds. New basic values are effectively broadcast thought multi-coded texts that influence different levels of the addressee’s mind simultaneously, which leads to fast and often suggestive perception of information by individuals.
