Abstract

The paper considers the specificity of the ongoing civilizational shift which has a profound impact on the prospects of the humankind. It focuses on the change in the civilizational sense of the impact which the transnational capital has on the formation of a new world order. This impact is determined by the absolute sense of capital expansion regardless of its influence on the actual wellbeing and life of nations. The paper proves that absolutization of the capital expansion policy generates a system of international relations analogous to a «black hole» which absorbs material objects that disappear from visible reality. This process may ultimately result in the self-destruction of the global civilization. The analysis of the impact that the «black hole» has on real life suggests that there is a historical need for a profound moral transformation which can provide conditions for the self-preservation of humankind. The paper considers the possibility of moral transformation for the owner of financial capital as the starting point of the civilizational «black hole» erosion.
