The paper evaluates Michel Foucalt’s understanding of heterotopia. It proves that heterotopia is not only the reality of «other place» (prison, psychiatric clinic, library, cemetery, colony, ship etc.), but also the other place for seeking the truth of social life. Methodology of aquiering this truth is described as archeology of knowledge (L’archeologie du savoir), as the way towards the truth pursued by the mass conscience. This truth does not coincide with religions, ideological, or scientific understanding. It is reality and priority of discourse objectivity, which includes elements of ideological and scientific knowledge. It is demonstrated that M. Foucalt’s conception predicts the emergence of certain forms and methods of discourse objectivity as a ruling force of mass consciousness in the global politics of the XXIst century.
