Considering the issue of the human in human, the author points out the ways of defining the concept based on the goal pursued by the proponents of such a term: the human as an entity and as a difference. During the analysis of a number of trends and approaches to the allocation of the human – biological, social, posthumanistic and a number of others, grouped according to one or another characteristic that unites them – the author comes to the conclusion that the proposed approaches do not cope with their task, and this happens mainly because of the peculiarities of the concept of the human in human itself, which is forced to explain the presence of the inhuman in human, and also inevitably falls into assumptions, which makes it impossible to talk about the knowledge of the human. For this reason, the author proposes to abandon the presented ways of understanding the human in favor of interpreting it as what is inherent in man, which solves the issue and at the same time does not negate the significance of works directly and indirectly devoted to it.
