The article explores the theme of life and death that for centuries worried philosophers and psychologists, and today received a new interpretation. The author reflects on the question: can it be considered a boon of immortality? The article provides a critical analysis of the latest interpretations of immortality. Confident of the immortality of supporters talking quantum consciousness. The soul of man is identified by them with the information, and the universe is likened to a computer. According to this interpretation, the man is identified with mental content, which after the death of the individual is literally sucked the universe. Consciousness maintains itself and thus eliminates the ordinary idea of death.
