The article deals with the essential features of artistic discourse, among which are the mutual interaction and the pervasiveness of discourses on arts, the combinability of literary and scientific descriptions, the metaphoric nature of terminology, the special role of aesthetic synaesthesia in the perception of art and its representation in linguistic synaesthesia (speech synaesthesia) in the act of verbalizing emotional experiences, images and impressions.
