The paper discusses the place and role of cultural landscape in the preservation of historic memory of Ecumene. It presents a case study of valuable cultural landscapes nominated by the society as heritage sites. Particular attention is paid to the relation between the historic memory and such criteria of the cultural landscape as its authenticity, integrity, historic representation and documentary character.
