The semiotic concept of the cultural landscape has several theoretical bases in different fields of knowledge – the semiotic concept of culture, the concepts of the noosphere and the semiosphere, as well as the noospheric concept of the cultural landscape. The cultural landscape is represented as a system of matrices and codes of culture, expressed in signs and symbols which are directly connected with the territory and / or have their material expression on the territory.
