The article deals with the multifaceted phenomenon of Russianness from the Cognitive Linguistic standpoint. Russianness is seen as a concept, which in some cases becomes the cognitive dominant within the conceptual domain, including the literary conceptual domain. The paper analyzes literary architectonics of the concept RUSIANNESS represented in the trilogy «The road to calvary» by A. Tolstoy. It identifies the architectonic features of the concept’s nominative field. The paper reveals a high frequency of the dominants’ polarization, as well as their semantic density. It describes the representation of the concept St. PETERSBURG. The concept St. PETERSBURG in seen as a sub-concept in the matrix model of the literary concept of RUSIANNESS.
